Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg: Roe Would Help Eradicate Unwanted Populations

Catholic Exchange | Kathleen Gilbert | July 10, 2009

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg seems to have made a stunning admission in favor of cleansing America of unwanted populations by aborting them. In an interview with the New York Times, the judge said that Medicaid should cover abortions, and that she had originally expected that Roe v. Wade would facilitate such coverage in order to control the population of groups “that we don’t want to have too many of.”

The statement was made in the context of a discussion about the fact that abortions are not covered by Medicaid, and therefore are less available to poor women. “Reproductive choice has to be straightened out,” said Ginsburg, lamenting the fact that only women “of means” can easily access abortion. Notre Dame’s Betrayal of Faith

AmericanThinker | Selwyn Duke | Apr. 5, 2009

When John the Baptist said to King Herod, “It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife,” the price he paid was his head on a platter. He had spoken Absolute Truth to power in a time when power was absolute. It was the bravest of acts, the kind only undertaken by those very rare men for all seasons.

Lying in stark contrast to this is catholic (note the small “c”) Notre Dame University’s genuflection before Barack Obama, a man embodying the very antithesis of Catholic teaching. [Read more…]

Obama to Overturn “Conscience Rule” for Pro-life Doctors

The Obamanations continue. The spiritual battle is intensifying. We’re only in week 5 of his presidency and the assaults on life, truth, and our freedoms are growing by the day.
Catholic Online | Randy Sly | Feb. 27, 2009

President Obama has begun quietly to begin the process of overturning regulations that protect doctors and hospitals from being forced to perform or refer abortions. The Chicago Tribune reports that President Obama is directing the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to begin overturning the conscience rule that protects medical providers who are pro-life.

This pullback comes only months after the Bush administration strengthened the rule by placing penalties on facilities that subject pro-life doctors, nurses, or other medical workers to discrimination over the issue of abortion. [Read more…]

Obama’s Biggest Radical

FrontPageMagazine | Ben Johnson | Feb. 27, 2009

When Barack Obama nominated John P. Holdren as his Science Adviser last December 20, the president-elect stated “promoting science isn’t just about providing resources” but “ensuring that facts and evidence are never twisted or obscured by politics or ideology.” In nominating John Holdren, his words could scarcely have taken a more Orwellian ring.

Some critics have noted Holdren’s penchant for making apocalyptic predictions that never come to pass, and categorizing all criticism of his alarmist views as not only wrong but dangerous. What none has yet noted is that Holdren is a globalist who has endorsed “surrender of sovereignty” to “a comprehensive Planetary Regime” that would control all the world’s resources, direct global redistribution of wealth, oversee the “de-development” of the West, control a World Army and taxation regime, and enforce world population limits.

He has castigated the United States as “the meanest of wealthy countries,” written a justification of compulsory abortion for American women, advocated drastically lowering the U.S. standard of living, and left the door open to trying global warming “deniers” for crimes against humanity. Such is Barack Obama’s idea of a clear-headed adviser on matters of scientific policy. [Read more…]

Teenagers Will be Victimized by Secret Abortions Under Obama

LifeNews.com | Matt Barber | Nov. 2, 2008

Contrary to Obama’s disingenuous rhetoric promising to “reduce the number of abortions,” the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) would – with one stroke of the pen – remove every commonsense regulation placed on the abortion industry over the past three decades. Rather than reducing the already astronomical rate of abortions, the number would skyrocket ever-upward under an Obama presidency. [Read more…]

Nurse Who Exposed Infanticide-Based Abortions: Obama Lied During Debate

LifeNews.com | Steven Ertelt | Oct. 15, 2008

The Chicago-area nurse who exposed the practice of life-birth abortions that led to he bill Barack Obama repeatedly opposed in the Illinois legislature says Obama lied about his record during the final presidential debate. Jill Stanek says Obama again misrepresented his position and record before the American people. [Read more…]

Feminist Admits “Abortion is Murder” but “I Am a Firm Supporter”

LifeSiteNews.com | Tim Waggoner | Sept. 12, 2008

In an article focusing on newly appointed vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, prominent feminist Camille Paglia admits that, much like Gov. Palin, she also believes abortion involves the murder of an innocent life – but unlike Palin, Paglia says she is a “firm supporter” of abortion.

Paglia’s piece, which appears on Salon.com, is the latest indication that “utilitarian” philosophies that no longer recognize the “right to life” as being the most foundational human right are gaining ground in some liberal circles. Under these philosophies even murder can be advocated as long as it protects what is deemed to be an even more important “right” – in Paglia’s case the sacrosanct “right to abortion.” [Read more…]

Archbishop says Democrats don’t even know Christianity

WorldNetDaily | Bob Unruh | Aug. 26, 2008

Denver Catholic Archbishop Charles Chaput says Democrats simply don’t know Christianity if they insist on continuing to spin the Bible’s teachings on abortion.

“It’s always important to know what our faith actually teaches,” he said in a “clarification” for Catholics in northern Colorado as Democratic National Committee members met in Denver this week to hear a speaker from the National Abortion Rights Action League promote Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee, as the next “pro-choice” president. [Read more…]

Obama: Premature Babies Aren’t People

Human Events | Aug. 8, 2008

Barack Obama worked to allow a gruesome practice, in which babies born alive after attempted abortions are left to die without medical care, to continue in Illinois. National Review journalist David Freddoso’s new book, The Case Against Barack Obama, exposes the lengths to which Barack Obama went to protect this ghastly procedure.

Because of a loophole, doctors in Illinois had no legal obligation to treat these babies. Under the law, they were non-persons. Illinois legislators tried to close this loophole with a bill mandating that babies born alive during an abortion would have to be treated just like every other baby born prematurely. The same laws and the same rules of medical ethics would apply to these born, living babies as to any other born, living human being. [Read more…]
